The inlay is carved in solid wood. Here is the nuclear bomb. Tai is available with Pony or Fine Italian leather too (below). And it's available in wenge (veneer). The wenge version is NOT solid wood. It's top-grade veneer on an MDF core, the same great materials used in all fine Italian furniture today. Only the teak Tai is available in solid wood.
